Sharing a city with 23 million people
That's what I do. According to this recent article in Shanghai Daily. Apparently some 9 million of those (that's just the whole population of Sweden) 23 are migrant workers. No wonder the metro feels so crowded every morning. No wonder Perth felt a bit small during my recent visit.

Really? In Beijing I believe Beijingers only contribute to 20% of total population or even less. I hardly met any beijinger in public area including my workplace (none).
i don't think the statistics are true.
There are lots of refugees, students, and travellers that should be accounted for too. I doubt they are. Perth is estimated to have about 2 million right now. Could be three now cos migrants and refugees are increasing each year.
I don't know how much truth there is behind the article. But it sure is crowded over here.
I heard about it, too. Actually Shanghai has now exactly the same number of people like whole Taiwan. Amazing.
