我在长沙 -I'm in Changsha!

Bye bye Suzhou....

Hello, spicy food!

Last night I left for Changsha and if you are reading this that means I haven't found any computer to blog from yet. Anyways, I'll be spending the next 3 days taking photos, doing a bit of sightseeing, talking to locals, and stuffing myself with spicy Hunan delicacies. A much needed get-away and change of scene. (I won't be missing the university's cold classrooms...) I'll be back in business in Sunday night, see you then (or, if you are in Changsha, see you on Pozi Jie -Changsha's number one food street), and have a great weekend!

  4. Have a good trip in Changsha -- another place I'd like to travel to as well! Hope you are having good weather too, it's got to be better than the non-stop rain here anyway.

  9. John Wang -if you read the previous post I think you will understand.

Chris -we were very lucky with the weather. Prior to our arrival it had been raining for 20 days straight in Changsha too, but during our visit we enjoyed 2 days of sunshine. Sooooo nice after all that rain.

kbguy -changsha is the capital city of Hunan -the home of spicy food in China (together with Sichuan)! :)

小超 -A good place for snacks is an understatement! It is a FANTASTIC place for snacks! :) I loved it!
