Everyone needs to have a life outside of the internet.

Oh, speaking of outside the internet...

My wife and I went to Ikea today and we were talking about you. Do people in Sweden use Ikea furniture, or is it just used as an export?

Also, do Swedish people really like meatballs? It's one of the things served at the food court area. Swedish Meatballs, with potatoes and a dash of cranberries in sauce.

Brad F: In Sweden most families use IKEA, the big majority does. IKEA is HUGE in Sweden when it comes to percentage of households.

and yes, we like our meatballs. I eat meatballs every freakin day. :)

Shopgirl: I doubt the meatballs we had at Ikea even come close to how good home made ones are. I'm envious!

As for the Ikea furniture... the stuff is great! If I had the money, I'd like to tell one of the helpers that I want to buy everything in the showroom. Ha ha ha! They have fantastic decorators to set those things up!

hmm are you allowed to take photos in clubs? When I was back in Guangzhou my friend said he did once and was told off ... must've been a dodge club with some shady dealings haha

Brad F -Yeah, like shopgirl said, Ikea is very big in Sweden too. There's a shop in most bigger cities and every Swedish home tend to have at least SOME ikea stuff (often kitchen supplies.... as they are cheap and not that bad looking).

When it comes to meatballs in Sweden -we eat them on all our big occasions, including easter, Xmas, and Midsummer (THE best day of the year!) but I prefer to make my own than to buy ready made. Some people eat them w boiled potatoes, sauce and lingon berry (it's not cranberry that sauce, it is another berry) but I like mine with pasta and ketchup! Or mashed potatoes... or, cold on a sandwich! :) They are very easy to make yourself, and taste much better than the ready made ones... :)

That sounds great Jonna!

Lingon berry huh? I'll have to let my wife know. I thought it was cranberry. The ones we had at Ikea were served with boiled potatoes and the berries as well.

You're right about the prices. They are reasonable, especially for kitchen stuff. We actually bought a new set of forks/spoons/knives while we were there this weekend.

I hope the girl on the last picture holding the orange drink doesn't see this blog, hehe.

@Chris - The Chinese girl in the left foreground isn't exactly at her most flattering either.
