Wedding invitation

You would think that one 'the most important day of your life' that people would be a bit cautious about details... but nah, why bother? Fancy wedding invitation? Check! Gold, red, and some hearts? Check! Cheesy lines about love? Check! Weird sentence about love? Eh... Check?!

"Something the words are hard to find. But the love is alway there."

Unfortunately we were unable to attend the wedding, but I heard it was a good one. Let's hope the love is alway there.

Also, shouldn't it be SOMETIMES the words are hard to find?

I presume this is a Chinese couple, who aren't good in English.

Good luck to them. If the sentiment is true, who cares about the words .....

Ah, another victim of Engrish...

While awkward, at least it's forgivable. Not all of them are this innocent.

While looking through a friend's wedding photo album the other day I ran across one "poem" sadly splashed across the bride who was beautifully posed in her white dress. The English was perfect but the phrase just didn't fit. It said:

"Check out the Topless Models"

I didn't have the heart to tell her.

LOL. This reminds me of my post about the couple who got back their wedding photo album from the photographer and it also had some meaningless English slogans randomly printed across various pages. One of the slogans was "no freedom, no future".

Josh -hahahhaha that's hilarious?! Let's hope none of them decides to take up English anytime soon!

Woai -hahaha, where do they get all that stuff from?! Insane! I good reminder for me though, next week I am going the the wedding photo agent to fix up my sister's album. I am gonna make sure it is poem-free.

haha. thats funny.

The reverse is also common.
I see Americans with Chinese tattoo that are often hilarious. One of my friend has what he thought was "spirited 精" and "son 子" tattooed on his left and right arm. I didn't have the heart to tell him what it actually mean...

Here is a website dedicate to such hilarity:

I have no idea where they get them from but I'm pretty sure it's not William Shakespeare!

I love Chinglish, somebody should publish a Chinglish phrase book. Josh's comment really made me laugh!

Proper english and correct grammar, wont save a broken marriage though...
Love is probably the most difficult word to explain-and sometimes after long years of being married some couples seemed to forget the true meaning of the vows that they'd shared together. Love may always be there...but the feelings change...
Bootomline- You don't really have to define LOVE when you meet someone...You have to FEEL it. :-)
